"Helping people facing important or complex retirement decisions"
Do you have a plan?
Have you ever heard the saying "People don't plan to fail, they simply fail to plan"? A plan helps guide your retirement big picture by addressing three important questions:
- Where are you now?
- Where are you going?
- What steps will you take to get there?
A plan also addresses the smaller details as well by addressing more specific questions such as:
- Are you on track for retirement?
- Do you have enough to retire?
- How much retirement income can you expect?
- How should you invest your money?
- How long will my money last?
- How will my investment plan affect my taxes?
- And other questions specific to your situation.
What is a plan? A logical plan of action to which effort is directed toward pursing a specific goal or objective.
What is your plan? How often do you monitor your progress? A plan should provide checkpoints along the way to help you stay on track.
Many people begin by simply buying investments first, without a big picture plan guiding the process. An investment may sound good, but it may not fit with your overall plan.
An important distinction in our philosophy is to develop your retirement plan first, then find investments that make sense with your plan.
